A celebration of excellence across the care sector, The Great British Care Awards is a series of regional events throughout the UK. The purpose of the awards is to pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work in the social care sector.

Proudly accepting her trophy, Valentina said: “I am thrilled to have received this regional award and would like to extend my gratitude to my entire team, especially my Head of Nursing, Sara Gallagher. I’m excited for the national finals in March!

“I truly enjoy my work – it’s incredibly rewarding. Each day at Millway House is different, and the residents are a joy. We also have a wonderful staff team, and their support means a lot to me.”

Set in what was once a large family house on the outskirts of Weyhill, Andover, Millway House retains the feel of a gracious country home and offers long-term and respite stay for up to 58 residents.

Parul Patel, Marketing and Communications Lead at AgeCare Care Homes, which owns Millway House, said: “We are all so proud of Valentina – she is absolutely deserving of this award! We’ll be rooting for her in March at the national finals.”
