To celebrate Emergency Services Day on 9th September, staff and resident Eileen from Bullsmoor Lodge Care Home in Enfield visited Cheshunt fire station to deliver a hamper of goodies to their local firefighters.
“Firefighters do such an important job to help keep the local community safe,” said Care Home Manager, Lisa Coombs. “We felt that it was only right for us, as a care home, to show them just how much we appreciate their hard work and dedication.
“We are looking forward to a visit from the Cheshunt team in the near future, to check that all our smoke alarms are in good condition and working properly.”
Bullsmoor Lodge resident Eileen was thrilled with the visit and loved having her picture taken with two of the firefighters. “That was great,” she said. “When can I come again?”
Opened by AgeCare in 1997, Bullsmoor Lodge is a purpose-built care home for people with dementia, with 48 ensuite bedrooms, each with private telephone, television facility and an emergency call system.
