Residents and staff at Enfield care home wear it pink for breast cancer charity fund-raiser
At a recent charity fund-raising event at Bullsmoor Lodge Care Home in Enfield, residents, relatives and staff were joined by surprise guest Mayor Councillor Shane Yerrell.

The Mayor of Waltham Abbey spotted a post about the event on the care home’s Facebook page and wanted to show his support for both Bullsmoor Lodge and its fund-raising efforts.

“It was a pleasure for me to attend Bullsmoor Lodge Care Home, especially to raise awareness for breast cancer,” he said. “It is the second time I have visited this year. Staff are always so polite and friendly. I can see how much the residents enjoy living there. It feels like one big family,

“I would like to congratulate everyone at Bullsmoor Lodge on a successful breast cancer awareness campaign and thank them for continuously making me feel so welcome. I will definitely be visiting again.”

The day’s activities included a charity raffle with plenty of prizes for all. A total of £281.00 was raised for Breast Cancer Now.
