Lisa Coombs
Our Home Manager, Lisa has worked in the health care sector since 2012, starting out as a Care Assistant, working her way up to a managerial role, whilst developing leadership and people skills. In a previous role, Lisa was responsible for achieving the highest CQC rating of ‘Outstanding’ for a home under her care.
Lisa joined AgeCare in 2023 as Registered Manager and has gone on to empower her team, delivering outstanding, compassionate elderly care. She is committed to ensuring residents and their families feel supported and safe and on building community relationships to further enhance life at Bullsmoor Lodge.

Bullsmoor Lodge offers personalised care tailored to each resident’s needs.
Older people who need day-to-day support can enjoy residential care in comfort within an elegant living environment.
For recovery after a hospital stay or as a temporary measure for families needing care support, we offer short term (respite) care lasting from one day to six weeks.
For those living with memory-related conditions, Bullsmoor Lodge has facilities to provide specialist dementia care in a supportive space.

As soon as you enter Bullsmoor Lodge Care Home you will experience a warm and welcoming environment. Light and airy the home offers spacious communal areas with lots of natural light. The lounge areas and dining room have direct access out into the rear garden where there is a patio with seating for enjoying time outside in the warmer months. There is a separate quiet lounge to the rear of the property for those wishing to read or enjoy board games.
The house offers 47 tastefully decorated, ensuite bedrooms, thoughtfully designed to offer privacy, comfort and accessibility. Light and airy, each is equipped with a television and emergency call system.
There is ease of access throughout the building with two passenger lifts and the manager’s office is situated on the ground floor immediately next to the entrance hall.
Waltham Cross main shopping centre is just a short walk away for those that are ambulant.
Life at Bullsmoor Lodge
Life at Bullsmoor Lodge Care Home is varied and full. We offer a range of organised activities and events with something for everyone to enjoy.
There are gentle morning seated exercise classes such as Chair Zumba, a variety of arts and crafts and musical entertainment, as well as our much-enjoyed monthly pet therapy sessions. Other clubs include Knit n Natter and the Gentleman’s Club with board and card games.
We celebrate a wide range of cultural events and national dates such as Diwali and Bonfire Night, as well as providing regular church services.
We have built strong ties with the local community, collaborating with Hurst Drive Primary School and Greenfield Nursery and the Broxbourne Alliance. We also work with charities such as Macmillan, Age UK Enfield, Children in Need and local independent charities and provide work experience for Lea Valley High School and Hertford Regional College.
Bringing the local community into the home provides opportunities for new conversations and stimulates interest, supporting wellbeing and social skills.
Our residents also often visit local places of interest including Forty Hall café and Garden Centre, Capel Manor and Waltham Cross shopping centre.
We actively encourage family and friends to visit and hold a Relatives Meet Up the first Wednesday of the month.
Bullsmoor Lodge Care Home proudly achieved Veteran Friendly Framework (VFF) accreditation in 2025, affirming our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant and specialist veteran care. We recognise and support residents who have served, offering tailored wellbeing activities, personalised care plans and strong links to trusted organisations like the Royal British Legion, ensuring veterans feel valued, connected and confidently cared for. We host a Veteran’s Café the last Monday of every month.
