Whilst at the front entrance porch of Five Oaks it is possible to look through the reception area and see Barnet Church on the skyline behind Hadley Wood Golf Course.

With a thoughtfully designed and appointed interior, the home has a lovely, welcoming feel, light and spacious with the addition of elegant fabrics and decorative wall coverings. The hall entrance area leads through to the main Lounge, a relaxing space designed for residents to meet and enjoy company or just take in the garden view. There is also a separate Television Lounge, which opens into the beautifully decorated Dining Room.

On the lower ground floor there is the Garden Room which leads out to the comfortable patio terrace and large southwest facing garden, a truly wonderful place to sit during the summer months with its breathtaking views over the historical town of Barnet.

There is ease of access throughout the building which is served by two modern passenger lifts.

Our strong ties with the local community have helped us build a positive reputation, and we regularly host community events that bring people together. We’re also proud of our on-site gardening club, where residents and staff grow their own produce, promoting well-being, sustainability, and a sense of shared purpose.
Working closely with the community brings joy and meaningful experiences to our residents, enriching their days and adding new opportunities for discussion and learning.

Among the varied activities on offer, we have regular visits from Megan’s Petting Paradise, when residents have the chance to interact with a variety of friendly animals. We also welcome the S.O.U.P. Ukulele Club from North London, who perform live music, something our residents really look forward to and thoroughly enjoy.

Five Oaks proudly achieved Veteran Friendly Framework (VFF) Accreditation in 2025, affirming our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant and specialist veteran care. We recognise and support residents who have served, offering tailored wellbeing activities, personalised care plans and strong links to trusted organisations like the Royal British Legion, ensuring veterans feel valued, connected and confidently cared for.
