Enfield care home resident gets special present in time for Christmas jumper day

23 December 2024

Christmas jumper day at Bullsmoor Lodge care home in Enfield held extra sparkle this year for one resident, who was worried that she wouldn’t be able to take part.

Barbara had not been looking forward to the event because, as she explained to the care home staff, she didn’t have a Christmas jumper and it was something she’d always wanted.

Luckily, Activities Co-ordinator at Bullsmoor House, Sandy, knew who to call. “We have a great relationship with our local Tesco superstore at Waltham Abbey,” said Sandy. “Their Community Champion, Michelle Moore helped us pick out the perfect pink, sparkly Christmas jumper for Barbara so she could join in the fun on this special day.”

Michelle said: “We loved being able to share some extra special Christmas magic for a lovely lady this year. When we heard that Barbara couldn’t take part in Christmas jumper day because she’d never owned one, we knew this was one wish we could fulfil. Her smile upon receiving it was the best present ever.”
